Tasted March 19, 2006 at home all by itself. Purchased locally at Central Market for $8.54 per 750ml. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of black licorice, tar, black berries and black cherries. Flavors of black cherries, red cherries and mixed berries. Acidity is a hair on the high side right now but all other components seem in balance. Value bordering between acceptable and agreeable. Drink now. Tasted May 24, 2007 at home. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of red currants, red and black berries and some raspberries. Flavors of raspberries and red berries. Overall from beginning to end had an underlying green streak on the nose and palate. Light acidity, tannins and body. I think we’ve stretched the absolute limit of the age ability of this wine. Drink now. Last bottle in the cellar for me.
