| 2003 Finca Luzon Jumilla Altos de Luzon - Spain, Murcia, Jumilla
Decanted ½ hr. Vibrant nose of red fruit. An interesting blend of flavours of bright, reddish plum and dark cassis with some spicy oak, chocolate bar and a touch of vanilla. Despite the nice play of flavours, this could use more depth. Finely textured tannins, this wine expands a little on the mid-palate along with an expansive, yet moderate length finish. | | We had this wine tonight. It had a nice smoky nose of cinnamon, stewed fruit, and a bit of leather. On the palate, the wine is balanced and ready, but far from soft, with tart cherry, blackberry, and fig flavors with just a little harshness on the finish. Tasty and a great QPR, but this'll never be a 90 point wine. 87 | | | |

| Way too much sweet oak, no acid, decent tannin for the short term.
Easy to drink, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this on the patio after a Jacuzzi at midnight  | | | |
