The wine had a deep nose of berry preserves, leather, and bay leaf. On the palate, the wine was concentrated and quite tannic with plummy flavors of dark fruit. This needs time to soften. 89-91

We tried another bottle tonight, but gave this one three hours in the decanter after splash decanting. It had a nice nose of baking fruit, with hints of cinnamon and leather. On the palate, the wine is clearly tannic with deep blackberry flavors. This wine is already fine and will definitely improve. 89-92.
