Deep purple with a medium nose of rocks, earth, spice, blackberry and black cherry. Medium body, medium plus intensity and medium acidity. Flavors follow through, balanced but in need of another 3-5 years to bloom.

The medium purple wine was splash decanted and tasted every ten minutes or so. Notes are from 30 minutes after splash decanting at which time the wine was showing its best and it did not tire or improve throughout the time it lasted.

It had a deep, beautiful nose of berry jam and cinnamon. Smooth and surprisingly ready to drink, the wine was in perfect balance with integrated tannins and juicy acidity pairing well with copious dark fruit flavors. This is probably the best Spanish wine I've ever had. Amazing from from a mediocre vintage. 93
