On Saturday after lunch I turned up at the BSS for a glass of SOLANES 1999 that showed immediately its high Cariñena content. Warmer and rounder than most other second-Priorats this young, more polished in tannin but equally mouthfilling, this is a very pleasant food companion in a way many others are not. Inky and mineral as Cariñena-dominated Priorats usually are, but served a little too warm for its 14,5% Alcohol. 88
