| i'm going with 1 of my restaurant-owning friends. is anyone else going that i should look for?
this is an industry tasting of what mr suckling claimed to be a 100 point vintage, i think . of course i could have the vintage wrong since my information has been sketchy at best, but i'm going to enjoy it immensely anyway.

| Hey, I was there.
Didn't see either one of you. I was out by 1:45 though. What did you think? I was a little upset that I drove down for it. They sold it to me as being a MUCH bigger tasting then it was. That restaurant couldn't hold much bigger though.
Bummed I didn't run into either one of you.

| I got held up at work and didn't make it to the tasting until about 3.25 or so. 2001 Barbarescos and new wave blends did not do a heck of a lot for me. 2000 Barolos were very good but a) they were not worth buying unless you pony up for the top line vineyards/cuvee and b) Suckling's rating looks even more suspect to me now.
Frankly, I enjoyed the Kistler Hirsch vineyard Pinot and the Montevetrano I had with dinner (A16 just really works imo) better then virtually all of the wines that were presented. I am sorry I missed both of you.
Gus do you want me to give David your Sauternes?
