| K&L Wines will be having the Terry Theise tour stop by the restaurant next door to their Redwood City store for a tasting on January 18th from noon to 3:00 p.m. There will be about 50 wines tasted including some of the Champagnes Terry imports. Check it out at www.klwines.com.
Is anyone thinking about going to this? I haven't signed up (yet). The price is a bit steep ($50) but there are alot of different wines. My biggest worry is that it will be a total zoo like ZAP or Family Winemakers. | | | |

| I attended a Terry Theise German Riesling tasting at The Wine Club in Santa Clara. But this event was extemely low key with Beccy Breeze hosting the event which featured 6 or 7 rieslings for $10. I was there about 45 minutes and there were probably 10 people participating during those 45 minutes. I thoroughly enjoyed it because there were very few people and Beccy was very informative and helpful (later she helped me track down retailers who ordered the wines I was looking for last month). At that time, we were tasting 99's and 00's which were mediocre years. But this is when I fell in love with J.J. Christoffel's wines (a 2000 Erdener Treppchen was clearly the best wine there for me).
I'm planning to attend the K&L event, but I also fear that it could be a zoo. Fortunately, I joined the German Wine Society last year so I will be able to attend the first event of the year which will be the tasting of 60 wines selected by the fanatics there.
