Executive Wine Seminars (www.ewswine.com) regularly hosts BIG TIME tastings at the Warwick Hotel in NYC (6th Ave and 54th St).

They are expensive, but unlike most other tastings.

The current calender for Fall 2002 and Winter 2003 includes Killer Kistlers, Turley Zinfandels, 1997 Brunellos, 1999 California Cabernets, the best of Oregon and Washington, and even a 1982 Bordeaux tasting with Robert Parker himself.

All of them contain the highest rated wines (most are 95-100 pointers).

I haven't been to one yet, but can only imagine the experience.

i have always wanted to attend one. gary from the wine library told me he was discussing hooking up with them for some new jersey courses. either way i would be interested in their tastings and also maybe taking a course.

btw, acker merral has some excellent tastings and also wine dinners.

I've been keeping my eye on them for awhile also. Always wondered what they were really about. Sounds great. I wonder if there is any kind of deal (once we get established) we could swing with them that'd benefit us both.

I know the Kistler one is something like $225! Ouch!

It would be great if we could get to go to this as part of, let's say, and article we would publish about them and their events. I know I would love to cover this event.

I signed up to be on the e-mail list. I'll be interested to see what the upcoming tastings are. Did anyone notice the '82 Bordeaux tasting for $695?
