Greetings:

Join us Wednesday, December 5th, from 4:30-7:30pm, when we welcome Kerry Murphy, Proprietor of DuMOL Winery to our Wine Bar. DuMOL is a gem as defined by its scarcity and exceptional worth. Since its inception DuMOL has crafted wines of such tremendous quality that the demand has always outstripped the supply. The wines have superb concentration and depth of flavor that capture the essence of the varietals on which they focus: Viognier, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. In other words, they are really tasty. Considering the tiny production of these delicious wines and the seemingly endless number of collectors actively seeking them out, it is surprising that the prices have not skyrocketed. Each vintage sells out prior to its release. The winery is a phenomenon.

At this special tasting, Kerry Murphy, one of the owners responsible for this remarkable success story, will be at Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant to share his secrets about these lovely wines. As a true Holiday treat we will be pouring five of DuMOL's single vineyard bottlings as a rare opportunity to comparatively taste these beauties. Our allocation of these wines was miniscule and we are using our entire allotment to provide this tasting. If we do not open every bottle, there may be a few precious wines for sale at the conclusion of the evening. So join us and help us welcome Kerry to our shop, take advantage of this unusual opportunity, and learn the intricacies of these wines from Mr. Murphy himself. Ask him about their winemaking philosophy, how they choose a vineyard site, how their new estate vineyard is coming along, or just about any other question regarding DuMOL Winery that pops into your head. Maybe, how do you get some his wine?

The featured wines are served as two ounce glasses. Due to the scarcity of these wines, retail sales may be available at the end of the tasting. If you find a favorite, the wines are also offered as full glasses.

The cost of the flight will be $40 and will include the following wines:

2005 DuMOL Winery Chardonnay chloe, Russian River Valley, Sonoma
(retail: $60, 5oz. glass $17.50)

2005 DuMOL Winery Chardonnay isobel, Green Valley, Sonoma
(retail: $60, 5oz. glass $17.50)

2005 DuMOL Winery Pinot Noir aidan, Green Valley, Sonoma
(retail: $75, 5oz. glass $21)

(retail: $76, 5oz. glass $21)

2005 DuMOL Winery Syrah eddie's patch, Russian River Valley, Sonoma

Hope to see you all there!
Debbie, Peter, Bo and the entire FPWM team.
