Anyone want to go? $300
-----------------------------

Saturday, October 25, 2003.

Wine tasting with Robert Parker and Frederic Engerer. Fourteen wines from Chateau Latour and les Forts de Latour including the Latour 1982, 1990 and 2000.

Tasting will be held at K&L wines in San Francisco from 4:30 to 7 pm.

$300 per person. Reservations call Dave @ (650) 364-8544, ext 733.

Man, they should make a bundle on this!

Theoretically they should be able to get pristine bottles since Engerer manages the Chateau.

I may go if there isn't a Cal football game that day. It would be interesting to see Parker and hear him talk. I hope they have as many Latour as le Forts.

My guess is this will be limited to about 25 people. The tasting will be held at the new SF store. The tasting area can probably hold that many but not much more.

All the bottles are coming straight from the Chateau. A great chance to assess perfectly stored bottles.

Wish I could go. Parker wrote on Mark Squire's site that this is a charity tasting and that he is doing it gratis, including paying his own air fare. Should be a wonderful time for all who can go, great wines with one of the most knowledgable Bordeaux experts of all time.

Hyy... Anybody know RP well enough to talk him in to coming down to my cellar? We could have one helluva offline. We'd send a limo.

200 people at K&L SF? That should be a zoo. I'm going to the Cal game.

You are right GATC. Thankfully, K&L decided to hold the tasting at One Market Restaurant across the street from the Embarcaderos. Probably still going to be a zoo but it should be better than the wine shop.

I am surprised more people are not attending. Are you going on to Masa's for the dinner with Parker (and other great Latours like 61 and 45) winebrat? Sadly, the wife put the kibosh on me being able to go to Masa's.

Unfortunately I found out about the Masas tasting a little too late. I am surprised as well that more VC folks aren't going. I will look for you and say hi.
