“WINE & FIRE – IGNITE THE PASSION”

INAUGURAL STA. RITA HILLS WINEGROWERS ALLIANCE EVENT: JUNE 9-11

The Sta. Rita Hills Winegrowers Alliance has organized “Wine & Fire: Ignite the Passion” to help further educate and celebrate the wines produced from within the appellation. An intimate affair, only 250 tickets will be available to the public.

The Wine & Fire event will commence on Friday, June 9th with a relaxed dinner, wine tasting and a film screening of the wine documentary “From Ground to Glass”. Held inside the historic chapel at the La Purisima Mission, more than two dozen winemakers will be on hand to present their SRH Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines before the screening.

The seminars begin on Saturday, June 10th at Rancho La Viña. The day begins with a mid-morning “seminar-in-the-round”, a unique and in-depth tasting that features four seminars of six-person, winemaker panels. Following the structured seminars attendees will gather under the shade of coastal oaks for a ranchero-style gourmet lunch, during which participating winemakers will pour current and/or library wines.

Saturday night, many Sta. Rita Hills wineries and area restaurants will feature wine dinners. And on Sunday many will host open houses, special tastings and wine sales; check the SRHWA website for more information.

Tickets for the weekend will be made available for $325 per person, and include access to the Friday night event and film screening, as well as the Saturday wine seminars and winemaker lunch. Tickets will be available on a first-come first-serve basis, with a maximum of 2 tickets per order.
