I thought I would post this. It is a very fun event and goes for a good cause. I have donated for many years now. Just a FYI, not a solicitation to donate or attend.

San Francisco Bay Wine Auction

Please join us in celebrating the 11th year of the San Francisco Bay Wine Auction, being held May 21, 2005 in the historic Livermore Valley Wine Country!

This is your opportunity to help us showcase wines from throughout California and make a real difference in the life of a child by rising funds for the following children’s charities (Information on these wonderful organizations is enclosed):

- The Oakland Youth Symphony as they provide music programming for underserved children
- The Bereavement Program for children at Hope Hospice
- The Taylor Family Foundation’s Camp Arroyo for children with life-threatening illnesses
- The neo-natal intensive care unit & pediatric unit of the not-for-profit ValleyCare Medical Ctr

We know that with your contribution our goals are within reach… and together we can touch many lives.

In 2005, our Silent Auction will focus on wine and wine related lots. Please consider donating a single bottle, large format bottle, vertical or horizontal collection, rare bottles or special vintages, or one-of-a-kind tours, tastings, or dining experiences. Please see the enclosed donation form for instructions on mailing your donation.

Our event will take place at the Wente Vineyards Restaurant and Visitors Center on Saturday, May 21th. The afternoon event will include wine tasting and food pairing from area restaurants and silent auction from 4pm to 7pm. Following at 7:00pm is the dinner gala with award winning wines, a live auction and dancing. Last year, over 600 guests attended and bid aggressively on fantastic lots.
