If you do go to the Chalone event, take some time and check out the
Inn at the Pinnacles B&B. The entrance is right at the gate to Chalone's facility. The B&B is run by Jon and Jan Brosseau, who also have a vineyard on the property (I buy Pinot from them!). It's an AMAZING place to stay. They're probably already booked for the Chalone Shareholder event, but it might be worth calling anyway. Jon and Jan's son, Bill, is the new winemaker at Testarossa Winery. He also has his own label, Gabilan. We're in the process of setting up some winemaker weekend/dinners at the B&B for this spring. This will include (possibly) a visit to
Camp Pisoni, followed by a super cool dinner featuring wineries such as ROAR (Gary Franscioni's winery), Pisoni Estate, Testarossa, Loring, Gabilan Estate, Siduri, Cinnabar, Talbott, etc. Watch for big happenings in the Santa Lucia Highlands and Gabilan Foothills
