2003 Wine Jubilee Chalone Wine Group Shareholder Celebration

Soledad, CA
Saturday, May 17, 2003
11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Join the merriment as Chalone Wine Group's 34th Annual Shareholders Celebration commences at 11 o'clock AM on the 17th day of May, 2003 at Chalone Vineyard, Soledad, California.

Trumpeters will herald your arrival as you make your way to eleven specially-themed winery pavilions hosted by the winemakers themselves, and featuring new releases and special selections chosen especially for Chalone Shareholders.

Highlights of the Celebration will include:
• Strolling musicians and entertainers
• Delicious Pacific oysters on the half shell
• Towers of mouth-watering cheeses to pair with wines
• A silent auction with the chance to bid on rare wines and one-of-a kind wine-related items in support of the Woodward/Graff Wine Foundation, formerly The Chalone Wine Foundation
• Collectibles and special wine selections available for purchase only at the Celebration
• Package rates for hotel, Sunday brunch and transportation

You'll enjoy a feast fit for a king under the Big Top commencing with the
traditional antipasto processional where a sumptuous tray filled with delectables is delivered to your table by our staff.

After lunch there will be a special unveiling of Hewitt Vineyard's Inaugural Vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon. We look forward to welcoming you and your guests to Chalone Wine Group's Shareholders Celebration, Wine Jubilee 2003!

I've always thought about doing that. Is it too late to get invited if you buy shares now?

Nope. Buy now and enjoy the event. You can also go as someone's guest.

If you do go to the Chalone event, take some time and check out the Inn at the Pinnacles B&B. The entrance is right at the gate to Chalone's facility. The B&B is run by Jon and Jan Brosseau, who also have a vineyard on the property (I buy Pinot from them!). It's an AMAZING place to stay. They're probably already booked for the Chalone Shareholder event, but it might be worth calling anyway. Jon and Jan's son, Bill, is the new winemaker at Testarossa Winery. He also has his own label, Gabilan. We're in the process of setting up some winemaker weekend/dinners at the B&B for this spring. This will include (possibly) a visit to Camp Pisoni, followed by a super cool dinner featuring wineries such as ROAR (Gary Franscioni's winery), Pisoni Estate, Testarossa, Loring, Gabilan Estate, Siduri, Cinnabar, Talbott, etc. Watch for big happenings in the Santa Lucia Highlands and Gabilan Foothills
