| Is this sponsored by McArthurs? If so I'm curious.
And, if I'm not your captain, what's the risk?

| I just signed up for this - I've never been to a tasting where I had to pay such $$$, but all in the name of education. Anyone else interested in attending? FYI, I signed up for the afternoon (1-3pm) session. | | | |

Jaimetown......TJ and I have talked about this. I think we are all in the same boat being a little put off by the price but I have heard it is a good event. Are you and Mrs Jaimetown both going? This might nudge me toward going. What do you think TJ?

| I too am put off by the price, but look at it this way - for the price of 3 bottles of mid-level CA cab, you get to taste many, many top-level Cabs. Plus, this may ultimately save you money if you do decide to go long on '01 CA Cabs. I say it's worth it. Maybe not for other vintages, but this one, definitely. | | | |

I think I am gonna do it. I will post after/when I sign up. When I do I will try for the 1-3PM slot just like you Jaimetown. Is Mrs. Jaimetown (julie I think????) attending as well? I spoke to Mark Wessels at Macarthur about the event and he said that for each Winery...someone very high up will be in attendance....either the winemaker.....assit winemaker.....or a principal....it wont be just staff or Macarthur people pouring so you have a chance to actually meet and talk to the people....hence the price fo the event. It is somewhat of a coup to get all fo those people to DC. Are you persuaded TJ?

| Hey JohnnyB,
I didn't ask Julie yet, b/c I don't think it's really her thing to go to a mega-tasting - she prefers ones with food and such. It'd be great if you were there - It'll be cool to compare notes and such.
C'mon TJ, you can do it! Join us! (Insert peer pressure gremlin here)
