| Exact quote from my boss, "Pete, what do you know about this Numanthia and Jorge Ordonez?' Me: "Well all the people on the VC site are raving about the wine." She: "Good, because we are hosting a dinner for him and Numanthia." Me: "What the @##%%^? Seriuosly?" She: "Yes, seriously. Do you think you can get people to come?'' Me: "I might know a few."
So anyone around the Philly area, here is your chance to meet the man and the wine that has been such a hot topic lately. We are hosting a dinner on April 30 for Jorge Ordonez and Numanthia. We are working out the price, the wines and the menu. Chef is very excited about this so I expect he's going to do something awesome.
I was just seeing if there was any interest about this from you guys before we open it up to the public.
Some of you (Rev, TCK, Jaz, budman, Raw Reds, ttep) don't really have a choice but anyone else please let me know if you are interested. | | |

| Petey--Guess we don't have a choice?--- Of course we'd be interested!!! ... It will depend on Mr Jazin's schedule, he is away at least 1x a wk on business, usually mid-week, but I'll try to get him to lock in the date. We may crack our first bottle of Numanthia this wknd! Have not tried it yet... | | | |

| ohno, a Wednesday, eh? Move me back to the 'tentative' part of the list. I have to see if it is possible. Any details on when in the evening it starts? Price per person, etc? | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| What's a good cheap hotel to stay in that's maybe even within walking distance? Early drive the next morning to work. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| priceline, my man. I gotta 3 star hotel last month in Philly for $65. When I showed up, it was actually an apartment suite. Windsor Hotel, normally $129/night. Priceline rules for hotel stays. | | | |

| Rev: If we go, you can come with us (...assuming that spouses are allowed). Remember that Maya is not the drinker that we are & she always drives back (after such events). I am planning on driving back. It's only about 1 1/2-hours (I did it many times---to & from Philly), & want to save some $$$ on hotels & all of that. Have enough expenses these days. So, you are welcome to drive with us... | | | |

| Still working on the deatils for time, price etc. Talked to the distributor and I have full access to anything in Ordonez's portfolio. Very cool. Oh, also found out Jorge himself helped in making the Numanthia.
As for spouses, of course they are welcome. As for hotels, JB is right priceline will work well. Don't really need to worry about location too cabs are easy to get in Philly.
This is gonna be fun. | | | |
