Cut and pasted this from Wine Library's website:

Tribeca Grill is pleased to announce its next wine dinner featuring the wines of the legendary Wine Goddess herself, Helen Turley. Helen cannot attend, but Wine Director David Gordon will guide you through the most sought after wines being produced in California. This is a unique opportunity to taste 12 different wines handcrafted by Helen from different vineyards, including 6 from her own Marcassin label. Also included are the amazing Cabernet based wines from Bryant Family and her newest client, Blankiet. The full throttle, high alcohol Zinfandels from Martinelli`s Jackass Vineyard and Jackass Hill will end the evening. Many of these wines are produced in tiny quantities, and are available only via their mailing list or at auction. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to try these wines together at one dinner. Executive Chef Stephen Lewandowski has created a five course dinner to pair with these magnificent wines.

6 Marcassin`s thats just amazing, 2 Bryants and all that Martinelli is worth more then the price for the seat, and thats without the AMAZING FOOD....this will be a night you and your friends or colleagues will never ever forget.

Me too, Short. Me, too. Come to think of it, this is most expensive wine dinner I've seen.

Considering the acquisition costs of these wines, $450 is not unreasonable.

I agree, Jones. However, my financial situation doesn't bode well for $450 tastings - especially when Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel comprise most of the wines (and not to mention the uninspiring '98 Bryant Family).

Don't get me wrong - if I could I'd go just to say I've tried these killer wines, but now is not the time!

I have a feeling also STW that the 1999 Bryant will not show very well either.

At a tasting of 1999s, the Bryant did VERY poorly. I was shocked, it was near the bottom of the cabs tasted. The Barbour was near the top, but the HSS amazed everyone.

I do not think the `99 Bryant will show well for another 3 years or so.

I would be there in a heart beat. $450 is not bad.

Ooooh, to be in NYC with a healthy expense account. You can tell the market's feeling a little bullish. Wish I could find an excuse (both to be there and write it off...) but alas, no freakin way!

The price tag is very reasonable. If not for the 3 get-away weekends that we are planning this summer, I would have liked to participate in that. And, a very good restaurant also.
