Eric Sussman is doing a winemaker dinner at Mirepoix in Windsor, CA on May 18th.

Unless something goes haywire in the next week, Barbara and I will be there.

Man how I'd love to attend this. Can't you convince him to come to Texas and host one here?

Sounds tremendous. But what is the deal with these dinners during the week? I can understand the restaurant does not want to tie up a Fri or Sat night, but the weekdays must really limit potential attendance. Perhaps I need to get a life.

ghcollins, I have the same issue. Madrona Mannor puts on wonderful winemaker dinners, but they are always on a Thursday or a Sunday, which makes it darned near impossible for us to attend. However, I certainly understand it from a Restaurant POV - they use these events as a draw on weeknights when they would otherwise not be able to fill all the tables.

Same situation here in Vegas.
Winemaker dinners on the rise and they are mostly during the week.
There hasn't been one yet that we really wanted to go to.
I was annoyed I missed a Melville one last year at the N9ne steakhouse at the Palms Casino.
I don't know what a mostly Pinot producer was doing at a steakhouse, but I would have gladly gone to find out.
If Radio-Conteau would have one here in Vegas, I'll be there....
