I'm in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah for the next two nights. It's gorgeous weather, with clear skies, 20-ish degree crisp air, and lots of fresh snow up in the mountains.

Too bad I'm here to work, not to ski.

Cheers, y'all

Stemor--

From my notes when there for the 2002 Olympics---

Quote:

Fresco is a pretty good Italian place with a decent wine list IIRC.

Bambara is dowtown and is a great people watching place. We had a seat by the window and got to watch everyone wandering around the Olympic festivities. Ayway, the food was pretty darn good too. Wine list was good but a little pricey.

There is also an excellent sushi place in what used to be a church of some sort, but I can't remember the name of it.

Disney World and the Wilderness Lodge resort.

The Artist Point restaurant here at the resort is most excellent. Also had a very good meal at the nicer Italian place at EPCOT.

Seattle.

I'm going to be rapidly approaching food coma state tonight. Lunch at Dahlia Lounge, dessert from the Dahlia Bakery. Dinner is still up in the air, probably Jack's in West Seattle. Breakfast tomorrow at Sazerac (mmmm pain de perdu), lunch at Shuckers and a party for dinner. Won't fit into my pants.

Baltimore:

Sotto Sopra on Mon. night. Good enough Italian food with 50% off of any wine on the regular list. I had the guy repeat the deal 3 times 'cause I thought I was confused....

OK, so we had about 8 bottles of chianti and 4 of barolo......

Bush Intercontinental Airport - Houston

We sit where it could be a very long wait to depart. Right now we are running 1 hour delayed. There are many flights cancelled or delayed, especially to the Midwest. Our destination is Steamboat Springs, CO where the current temp is 0 degrees.

Welcome to my world. Last night it was sitting in the Birmingham airport, then on the ramp at DFW and on and on and on...

WIML - I definitely feel your pain. At least you don't have your 4 year old with you. 1.5 hour delay now and counting... Luckily we are in the family room in the President's Club so it's bearable. Gotta love wireless Internet access.
