Did you make it to the "topless" swimming pool? I read about it -- women are admitted free, men are charged like $20. Pretty funny if you ask me.

Did you take in Zumanity or any other cirque de soleil

no topless pools for me. i actually spend very little time at the pool while in vegas. as far as cirque de soleil shows, i saw "o" once and was borderline ready to ask for my money back. what a complete waste of green imo. i would of rather spent the $250 on another dinner at delmonico.

I liked O.

I've seen it twice; once from front and center (row 5) and once from way in back but center.

I really like to stay at Caesar's best. Great food in the "mall". Walk to Ballagio for Prime and Picasso.

If you stay at the Rio and need a cab get over to the Four Season's entrance; No line!

we skipped prime this time. tried cafe giorgio in mandalay place and was impressed. it is owned by the valentino people and is great for midpriced quality italian. something that is hard to find in vegas.

I usually skip Prime and take a cab (I mean like a taxi... actually I take a cab too) over to the Venitian for Delmonico's.

Did you make it into Caesar's Forum at all? The new "Bradley Ogden Restaurant" just got a top review somewhere. We ate there when it first opened and it was fantastic despite the fact that Bradley was not in the kitchen. I know this for sure because he was sitting next to me at our table. It is possible that we received a little better service than most do.

I like Picasso. It is a relative bargain. Fantastic (really) tasting food. Two tasting menus; one at $79 and one at $99 (no ala carte at all). BYO friendly with no corkage if you say the secret woid.

BTW - the Bellagio sucks in terms of QPR.

At what price point is this a no go? I booked a room for an upcoming visit at $155 per night. I assumed when booking that at that price, it's a must see.

Beta testing a new signature.

at $155 it is reasonable, just be super-cautious of any extra charges. For example, my wife used the room phone to call my cell phone. I was expecting a $2-3 charge, since our conversation was all of 10 seconds (can you bring me coffee?). It was $12. Every charge at Bellagio is 2-3x what you would expect.

Gee, I wonder if the service and food at your table were any better?

Hey David, did you have to pay for Bradley's meal as well as your own?

Let me know next time you're headed down there. I might just meet you for dinner.

Randy, They comped Bradley's dinner.
================================

I think the following is one of the most stupid things I have ever heard in my life. I have only heard it in Las Vegas hotels.

The "smoking" and "non-smoking" rooms...

In Vegas you do not have that choice. You may choose between "smoking" or "smoking-optional" rooms.

Bradley Ogden recently received the Illy Best New Restaraunt Award by the James Beard Foundation.

Here's a link to all of this year's winners:

I won't be home until late tonight so I'll check what the woid is when I get home and post it tomorrow. If it isn't there by 3 tomorrow remind me.

david,

i wanted to go to bradley ogden but never made it. next time i will go for sure. 2 questions about ogden's: 1. do they offer corkage? 2. do they have rack of lamb? i wanted to go to prime but time didn't permit it. i am in love with their truffled mash potatoes.

Ant, I don't remember if there was lamb on the menu. Actually I never looked at the menu. I just told them to "do it" and 12 courses later we got up from the table and went back to the kitchen to munch on leftovers. Later that night I suffered EPS

I've got a name for Bradley Ogden too

anthonyiez, I think you and I have similar tastes in Vegas. I've been about 17 times now and only made it to a show (Mamma Mia) the last time I went--which was the ONLY time I took my wife. Yeah, the show was good but for the money I coulda had more fun on the craps table, baby!!

I'll be there August 21-23, in case anyone is out that way.
