Since you're at the Venetian try Pinot Brasserie there. Free corkage. I even understand you can take stemware and magnums out to the blackjack tables from there
We loved this resturant when there in September. Great food, super soups, and a good wine list.

| | Bouchon, also in the Venetian, is pretty laid back as well. You can eat on the terrace and they have these heaters there. Food is more brasserie style - roast chicken, moules-et-frites (the best frites I've ever had), etc. They have some nice Merry Edwards Pinots as well. | | | |

| Just got back from a week in the Vegas area and had 2 incredible dining experiences.
The Eiffel Tower - Great views of the water show at the Bellagio. Everything was top notch, from the service to the food to the wine. Enjoyed the camabert and scallop appetizers, the filet, and various desserts. The wine list here is incredible and expensive. We opted for the 1998 Domaine Leflaive Puligny Montrachet Les Pucelles with the apps and a 1992 Ch. Haut Brion with the Filets. Both wines were incredible.
Bouchon - Very heodinistic experience. Started with a couple dozen oysters and the Terrine de Foi Gras for the table. I think I could have been content with just that. The oysters were great that night and the Terrine was absolutely incredible. Enjoyed these with a nice 2002Raveneau Montee de Tonnerre 1er Cru Chablis. Nice wine list, the bressler and quilceda were the 2 of the most expensive cabs on the list. We ended up going with the 2001 Modicum Cab, which reminded me of a very nice Pride Cab, but with a little more to it. Enjoyed it with Pork Braise. I highly recommend getting this as it melted in your mouth and was one of the tastiest meals I've ever had. We finish with about 6 desserts and some port, a 1959 Maury.

| | Bouchon - it's such a great place. They also have several Merry Edwards' Pinots on the list as well. | | | |

It may just be me but camabert and scallops just doesn't sound appatizing at all. | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson

Oops, just re-read it and it sounded like 1 appetizer. The camabert was wrapped in a dough, and served with apricots and walnuts. The scallops were seared and served in a spicey sauce. Both were great.

| 2 Off Strip places we went to lunch were very good as well.
Swish - On Sahara, up in Summerlin. Fun, cook it yourself place. 2 Options - Cook you meat and veggies in sea weed water or a sweet sauce. Meat is cut extremely thin and all you have to do is "Swish" it in the boiling sauce and eat. Tasty and healthy.
Hannah - On the corner of Charleston and Rampart in Summerlin. The garlic noodles are incredible and they also have great sushi. They also have an extensive lunch and dinner menu that looked great. The main Sushi Chef from Sushi Fever is over there now.

| We'll be there the end of Feb. on biz. Staying at Venitian.
I figure one night at Delmonico's (in the Venitian).
One night Picaso (our favorite).
One night at Palm.
This meeting was supposed to take place in New Orleans. I'd really rather be going there but...

| | Had dinner at Sushi Roku tonight to celebrate hitting the money in both tourneys! Really great stuff. They have a $90 6 course meal that was excellent and the lychee mojitos were an unreal pairing with the dinner. All in all, I'd give it an 8, maybe 8.5. Little pricey, but it IS Vegas. | | | |

| | Restaurants are pretty set for Vegas next weekend. Staying in the Tower Suites at the Wynn and eating at Bouland the first night, Messa Grill the next and then Sunday if I have any money left who knows....that will be a game time decision that someone else can make. | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson | |

| I can use some help with restaurant suggestions, particularly the new ones. Staying at the Bellagio.
I am going second week of March and plan on Delmonico's and maybe Pinot Brasserie (how is the food there?) I have been to Prime, Aureole, Circo, Sea Blue, Emeril's Fish Place, Fleur de Lys, Bradley Ogden, Lupo and don't plan on going to any of those this trip. Any comments on Mix? Others? I only want to go to places that allow corkage. Thanks.

| I am stuck in a rut.
I'll be there the first weekend in March. I am staying at a hotel that I have never stayed in before; The Venitian.
I have reservations at Picasso and Delminoco (in the Venitian). I have been to both places many times. I love them both.
Other regulars include le Cirque, Renoir, Aureole, Palm, Bradley Ogden, Michael's, Anthony's (downtown), and several others that I can't remember so they must not have been that good.
I am thinking about Anthony's (or whatever he calls it) in The Palm, or something new at Wynn.
Any suggestions? | | | |

Joel Rubuchon at the MGM Grand. There are many foodies who think he's best chef in the world. My wife and I ate at his "casual" place next door - L'Atelier de Joel Rubuchon - and it was superb.

| Mix, had dinner there last July. Chef is Alan Ducasse. Amazing food coupled with fantastic view of the strip. You can eat inside or out. I think it's on the 54th floor. Inside somthing like 10,000 hand blown glass balls overhead. Outside dinner on 54th floor with incredible view of the strip. Corkage was $75...steep. Food was outstanding along with very good service. Pressed chicken foie gras and Colorado lamb mmmm. After dinner we had drinks at the Mix lounge, also dramatic views. . Glad to hear good things about Joel Rubuchon | | | |
