| | Hi, As I'm really new to the board I thought I would offer some of my local knowledge here in Australia.
Now, without blowing ones horn I have some really good connection in the Barossa.
If anyone was planning a visit I could make some suggestion and introductions....
Hotels, restaurants and some very secret haunts where your find some gems.....
Being a "stonewaller" at Rockford has some advantages...
Also, can I recommend the following...
Diggers Bluff wine maker Tim O'Callaghan the son of Robert "rocky" O'Callaghan, has blown me away with his 1998 Watchdog Cab, if you can get your hands on the "Top dog" your in for a real treat...
Tim and Brother Travis have done some wonders here with a little help from some great friends...
Take yourselves to the Eden Valley Hotel for a sampling of some stuff you may never see.....I actually got to barrel taste recently on some very special wines, only one hogs of each so this will never see the light of day...
I really don't want to mentioned to many names as not only is it knobby its unfair to these artists, the Barossa is full of micro wines that are just to good to sell.... | | | |
