| If you wanna pay an assload of $ for a tiny room, try the Hudson. I didn't even pay for the room and I felt ripped off.

| | jb: Everytime I try to describe the size of the room I had at the Hudson, I cannot get anyone to believe me! Picture a queen-sized bed with 3 inches to spare around every side but the head of the bed. That's it. I had to sleep with my suitcase ON my bed, b/c there was no other place for it. | | IMO, the Hudson is worth every penny for the bar scene alone. NY at it's finest. | | | |

I havent seen the rooms but from what I have heard they are nice...They club is located at 3 West 51 St...My dad is going to talk to someone about a group rate next week. If you are interested in staying at the club let me know.

| | You can usually do well with corp. discounts. We paid $220 for the Palace. Had a lovely, large, corner room. | | | |

| True, kimber. If you want to see hot chicks, go to the Hudson. Love the back room w/ the purple pool table. Now, if you want good accomodations, go elsewhere.

| | Don't we want to stay closer to Amuse? Some of the spouses might fold after the dinner and we may have to put them to bed before the afterparty. | | | |

| I seriously hope that no one is driving anywhere after this event. Get a room in the city and take a cab. Be smart everyone.
As far as rooms, hold off on booking one until I report back tomorrow, if you haven't booked one already. I may have some further information that will be helpful.

| | Too late jb, as soon as Mrs. TJ knew we were attending, she already booked via priceline. Afterparty for me is still a big question mark. | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| I stayed last weekend at a botique hotel in midtown (52nd btwn 6&7th) call Flatotel. I found it through its affiliation through my golf club membership. It was $179/ nite and my membership did not help out with any further discount, but I thought the rate was still reasonable. The hotel was decent but nothing special. There were a few problems. First check in was 15 minutes late so we had to wait. Second, on my way out, leaving for a wedding, the elevators stopped working. We had to walk down 27 floors in formal wear, my wife wearing high heels. She was not happy.
They did make it up to us by giving us two free nights when we go back to NYC.

| | I'm beginning to think my reservation at the UN Plaza Millineum Hotel at $179.00 a night is looking pretty good. | | Joe ----- Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| Just booked my room this morning. Staying at the Ramada Plaza New Yorker Hotel for $112. 34tha and 8th ave. Not too close to the festivities, but it is just a $6 cab ride away. I pricelined it.
