Just an FYI to anyone living in, or headed to, the Richmond, VA area. Be on the lookout for The Copper Grill. It is located in one of the high end malls about 25 minutes from the airport.

We went there the other evening on a return engagement. We went last year with the same group.

Just a wonderful spot. Service is excellant. The Sommelier is a nice fellow, helpful, and eager to share the enjoyment of wine with the guests.

We had a large lobster served to the group for an appetizer. Everything removed from the shell, so easy to eat, drawn butter and sauce provided. The lobster was a tad overcooked, but not enough to be too noticable.

We then had their Tomahawk Steak. 28oz on the bone, prepared to die for. I have never ordered such a large portion, but upon trying the first bite, I knew that this was a worthy choice and must be finished. Well, almost finished.

The bone that the steak was on was approached 12". It was a monster.

Desserts were very good as well. I had the Drunken Tiramisu. Nice effort. Others had Cheesecake, Bananas Foster, etc.

Nobody left much on any plate.

Highly recommed. They also have a location in Birmingham, AL and Destin, FL I believe.
