One of the best places to eat in NYC will be closing April 19th. Anyone want to go with me before they close?

Wish I could, tt. I always wanted to go there. I'm about to place a healthy Burgundy order though. Gotta draw the line somewhere.

Ttepper,

Mrs. Doc and I will now be depressed very much Lespinasse is one of the top three dining experiences that we have every had. In fact, we went there the day after our wedding.

Of course, the question that begs to be asked is: "Are they quickly and inexpensively liquidating their great wine list?"

LCC,

If you can swing it this coming week, I would definitely go for it.

Went there for last Saturday for the closing. Mrs. Doc and 2 other friends were the last ones out of the restaurant. So, we literally closed it down.

Compared to our other trips there, the food was excellent, the room was beautiful, but the service was very disappointing. So, the entire experience was not up to our standards.

In the end, we got the wine list (a massive book, of course) and a couple of signed menus (by Christian Delvoviuer, sp?) as gifts. Not bad...

wines: 95 Pol Roger, 99 Chassagne Montrachet, 96 Pommard, 98 Cotie Rotie...
