Sorry to say, that I weill need to remove Belhurst from my list. Service poor, prices have sky rocketed, addition to the old castle destroyed the ambience of the place. And I say this after 50 yeras of going there.

They have decided "wrongfully" to get into the wine business. Bad decision.

Would suggest going to Geneva On The Lake in the future.

As far as I'm concerned, the best restaurants in the finger lakes are in Ithaca (Madeline's, for example). However, when Dano (pronounced Dan-yo... I forget his last name, but how many people have that first name) re-opens his restaurant out in the country, it will almost certainly become a destination restaurant. Quite seriously, I will be flying back to the Finger Lakes with the primary objective of eating his food within the next year. We're talking about a seriously talanted chef. And his wife is a terrific hostess/sommellier and has some killer wines. Dano's Austrian cooking has some clear sentimental value to me that might cloud my judgement. (He cooked most of my romantic meals with Future Mrs. Whiner when we were in school -- and we became friendly with his wife.) But, nonetheless, I'm convinced he is a uniquely awesome cook.
