| Have to post on this. I've got a speed dial full of Mormons from SLC, but I managed to find ONE gentile on the list. Dinner recommendation was Squatter's Brewery on 300 South, near Main. Everything is relative, but for a BREWERY in SALT LAKE, this place was phenomenal. Great black and blue burger (cajun burger with blue cheese) and the beer was actually good (not the near beer stuff). Plus, you don't have to buy one of those retarded "club memberships" to drink. So, if any poor, lonely soul has the fortune/misfortune of laying over in SLC and is in desperate need of a beer... find Squatters. | | |

| I've been travelling to SLC almost monthly for the last 3 years, and only recently discovered that Utah is a BYO-friendly state. So if you're not a beer fan (me), feel free to schlep your own grape grog. | | | |

| Cucina Toscana in Salt Lake was excellent when we were there over the summer.
As for BYOB, as far as I know it is allowed and required to be allowed everywhere, however I thought it was technically illegal to bring wine in to the state and you are required to have a little sticker on the bottle showing it was bought from the state liquor store. People that live there simply peel the stickers off and put them on whatever bottles they want (just in case). | | | |

| The restaurant in Hotel Monaco (a small chain) serves great food as accepts BYO. My contacts in-state confirm that BYO is acceptable by choice of restauaranteur - who must have a liquor license. Call in advance to confirm. | | | |
