| The next time any of you are in Atlanta, be sure to try Hal's on Old Ivy (www.hals.net). I honestly had the best fillet of my life there tonight. It is considerably better than Bone's, Chop's, and the other well known places in town, at least imo. The wine list is ridiculously priced, but they allow for a $10 corkage. | I honestly preferred it to Bone's, their "barrel-cut" fillet is amazing.
As for large groups, it would be fine, it isn't exactly a romantic restaurant. It's more an old school steakhouse feel. | | | |

| Ant - my last Bones experience was not up to ours. Quite disappointing. I hope we just caught them on a bad night. Further research is needed.

Bacchanalia - Best Restaurant in Atlanta, imo $$$$

Nam - amazing Vietnamse - "Shaking Beef" literally melts in your mouth $$$

What would help is whether you will be in metro ATL [like down town] or will you have wheesl etc. so you could goto Buckhead area. Lot of nice places there too. Can be reached via MARTA. | | | |

If that is the case. Try Watershed, great upscale, nuevo southern cuisine. If you are going to be in Atlanta on a Tuesday, their fried chicken has one many awards as the best in the country. It is usually sold out by 7 PM though. | | | |

| I tried to get reservations for Hal's on Old Ivy on sunday Feb 12 for 12 people. After striking out on various combinations, I called them and found out that they are closed on sundays.
I have a group of 12 that is looking for something good. Should I try Watershed or Bacchanalia. 3 of the people are Italian so I don't want to try the Tuscan restaurant. They normally hate Italian food in the US. | | | |
