We just returned from 5 days in Las Vegas and have a couple of updates ...

Venetian, Delmonico's - quoted $25 corkage when we made our reservation, but it was not charged for the 1 bottle we brought. We did order 2 glasses of Champagne and 2 glasses of Chablis, and offered our waiter the bottle we brought when there was an inch or so of wine remaining. Don't know if this was the reason for the missing corkage charge, or not ...

Paris, Mon Ami Gabi - quoted and charged $20 for the 2 bottles we brought. We did buy a 3rd bottle off their wine list, but did not offer the waiter a taste of the wines we brought - he was too efficient at keeping our glasses filled.

i haven' been charged corkage at delmonico's during my last few visits. i always request the same waiter and make sure he gets some vino as well. i will probably bring him his own bottle next time.

I forgot to ask at Eiffel Tower, but if it's a decent bottle of wine, it doesn't matter what their corkage is, you'll still come out ahead due to the INSANE prices on their list.

Ate last night at Trattoria Del Lupo (W. Puck place) at Mandalay Bay. They waived $16 corkage on my 2001 Martinelli 3 Sisters pinot. Good food. Heading to Delmonico now with a 1999 Pavie and a 2004 Aubert Lauren chardonnay and will see how they do.

i just found out that del frisco do not allowed byo if we can't get into delmonico...where would you recommend for steakhouse that will allowed byo?

Headed to Vegas first week in January, and staying at the wynn. Any further updates?

Of course, we always go at least a few times to Lotus of Siam. That place draws me to Vegas as much as anything else.

Michael Mina-Bellagio, $35/btl supposed 2 btl limit but we had 3 btls. Great food. Steakhouse in Wynn allows too, I think $25/btl
