| Clear dark ruby color. Ripe fruit basket nose of plum, cherry and vanilla. Very soft on the palate. Nice pure pinot noir flavors of raspberry, cherry and a little plum. Finish is medium length but nicely fruity with a touch of pepper rounding things off. Very nice wine but not great. 87 points.

| Duckhorn is hosting a cruise with Silversea this summer (just got something on it). According to a friend who loves to go on cruises Silversea is the top of the line for cruising in style. It looks pretty nice from the brochure and web site. | | | |

| I'd love to take a cruise once, but I feel I will wait until I can afford the better cruise lines.... Thoughts on which are the best lines and why? | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| Thanks for the tip - going to their website now. TJ - Crystal Cruises is supposed to be quite "da bomb" in cruise circles. Quite expensive, but quite elegant and exclusive. Their website has onboard webcams - http://www.crystalcruises.com/index.asp?SID=21 | | | |

| I liked Royal Carribean & Princess. Both good. They are Not the luxury-lines, but very good. | | | |

| Just received a mailer for a cruise on SilverSea's Silver Cloud hosted by Roger Asleson of Opus One. Starts in Paris 8/6/03 and amongst other stops includes two days in Bordeaux and one day in Oporto. 12 days total. Special dinners, Bordeaux tasting, Opus vertical tasting, tours in Bordeaux... actually sounds pretty good. Pricey! Almost 9-grand per person. I'm considering it. Here is the SilverSea link: http://www.silversea.com./Calendar/frames/03_main_frame.asp?VoyageNumber=1326Or call 1-800-652-7847. This is the number listed by Opus in the brochure. | | | |

| Wow, Silver Seas is really pushing the "cruise with a Napa winery" theme. I got a mailer from duckhorn for just such a cruise in Late July. It was from Nice to Barcelona. According to a friend the cruises with Silver Seas are absolutely top notch in every aspect. | | | |

| 2001 Domaine Grand Veneur Châteauneuf-du-Pape - Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Southern Rhône, Rhône, France (9/12/2004)Started bland, but came into its own as it got more air. Nice integration, if a little less aggressive than most CdP. (89 pts.)Posted from CellarTracker! | | | Visit The Butcher Block at http://www.butcherblocktampa.com/ | |

| SF Chronicle today does an entire story on San Francisco's newest wine bar/concept. My impressions after visting were very positive...however...the location is a bit cumbersome and the design may be a bit retro for some. If you are in town, it's definitely worth a visit for the selections and the VERY cool concept. Read about it here . Andrew | | | |
