| the couple massage at Auberge is worth refinancing the house if need be. I just got back from Vegas where I had 2 massages in 2 days at the Bellagio (1) in the spa and (1) in a private cabana poolside and they cannot touch the experience at Auberge | | "Everyday is worthy of a glass of sparkling wine" - Andrea Immer MS | |

| Wife just returned from Calistoga. A few comments according to her: 1. Stomp is a GREAT restaurant. They are currently featuring this amazing up and coming Napa winery 2. She received one of the best massages ever at Lavender Hill. 3. The word is out about Golden Haven. She talked to numerous people that recommended staying away. 4. The "mud bath" at Lavender Hill is much better than the traditional mud bath. It is not the traditiional heavy mud -- rather volcanic ash mixed into the water. This way you obtain the supposed benefits of the mud bath without the claustrophobic experience. | | | |

| Yup, same experiance here with Golden Haven. What a shame, we will not be visiting them again anytime soon.

| I am so sorry to hear that MrsNull Our first experience at GH a couple of years ago was great, but this time was beyond bad. MadameNCVL had problems with the mud being way to hot.

| Mrs. STW and I are heading up to Napa (etc) between April 12-15. We're looking for a fancy hotel with spa services but I'm not quite sure where to stay. Meadowood? Auberge? What about Milliken Creek Inn? Anyone stay there?
I'd also like to plan a dinner for anyone that will be around.
Thanks for your suggestions!

| Again, very helpful! My wife would love a break from the days of wine-geekdom that awaits us in Sonoma and Napa. | | | |

| | So if my wife is interested in getting a facial and a massage, where would be a good place that wouldn't break the bank? | | | |

| The Amadeus Spa is more upscale than any of the spas in Calistoga. Most of the Calistoga spas are older and have the mudbaths so they tend to be kinda dirty. The Amadeus spa was really nice. My only complaint was that the steam rooms and jacuzzis were in the locker rooms so there was nowhere for couples to relax together.
If you want to spend a buttload of money, you should tryAuberge du Soleil
