| Apologies if there is already a thread about this somewhere - I didn't want to look through the zillions of pages that came up when I did a forum search.
Does anyone have a spa that they recommend in the Napa Vally? Preferably Calistoga? I'm looking for someplace with a wet room and preferably mud bath. I guess you could say I'm looking for a QPR spa - I can't afford anything like Auberge.
I've been to the Amadeus spa and it was very nice. Any other ideas? TIA | | |

Pre kids I used to go to Indian Springs in Calistoga twice year with a good friend of mine. It was a ritual. I haven't been in 4 years, so my experience isn't current.
However, I loved it.

| We've already made our reservations for theGolden Haven mudbaths. One of our favorite things about this place is that the mudbaths are for couples , and the price was right. MadameNCVL and myself have been here before and had a wonderful spa experience the last time, kazoo is optional

| | Is that where you are staying, NCVL? I went to the website but it looks like all their specials include an overnight stay. We're staying elsewhere. I wonder if they have package prices that do not include a stay? | | | |

This sounds like a fun one:

| We always liked Village Inn & Spa. Great value play, imo, with excellent spa treatments/packages. That being said, I haven't been there in a while. | | | |

| | Stayed at Dr. Wilkerson's once! Quite "rustic" and inexpensive. Heard the doc passed away a week or so back. | | | |

| The mudbaths are really cool and the mud gets "everywhere" As I recall, it did takea little while for me to get used to it.

| | Yeah, I was thinking I might prefer a mud wrap to a mud bath. Do you go in a bathing suit or nekkid? | | | |

| nekkid baby! nekkid! gotta love the free feeling in the room . No problemo, they give you plenty of privacy if your a little on the shy side. I'm telling you though ......... the mudbath feels really good and then after they do an herbal wrap I believe.

| Hmm... Like you said, the mud gets everywhere. I am more comfortable with massage, facial, jacuzzi, body scrub, manicure, and pedicure. Do they use fresh mud for every person? I mean, what if someone... you know... in the mud? | | | |

| the mudbath is pretty wierd. you basically float in it and supposedly your internal organs are "suspended" as well. you definitely need a high power shower afterward . | | | |

| | oh and you gotta love it when they take a regular garden shovel and cover you with mud in the tub. | | | |
