What can you tell me about Port? What is the difference between Port and Tawny Port? Any suggestions for entry-level ports?

Thanks in advance.

considering i don't go to bed until very late on most nights i guess i could pull this duty off. if you want to start picking a post of the week, i would feel honored.

I don't know about this.
Is the POTW selector eligible to pick his own posts?

We'll set some ground rules.

Perhaps this is something that could rotate through people.... it's fun for a good month... and then it's work.

I think most people here read all the posts at some point or another ( I'm a bit lax on the US section- I read that once a week.).

I can't handle the US section. It's so huge and I know hardly any of the wines. I'm probably missing some of the best threads through this but it's daunting to an Olde Worlde like me.

Back on topic - I liked the idea of Thread of the week and rotation seems like a good idea.

Yeah, since we are WAY off topic again, I like the idea of Post of the Week and so on. We should establish a rotating position, or perhaps a small 'committee' where we each nominate a post and vote on it or something.

When I'm not on vacation, I think I'd have fun doing this (as a part of said committee or on a rotating basis). Besides, I need to have SOMETHING to do with all these excellent posts that people write-up (and none of them are mine, I know that!).

So, when do we start, Rev?

As the one who used to do the post of the week, I apologize for slipping. Things were hectic during the spring and once I let it go for a few weeks I never recovered. Buying/selling the island house won out.

But I love the idea of rotating the post of the week selector.
