The only 20$ `99 Nebbiolo's I've had have come from the Langhe, and they have been outstanding given the price and are drinking well right now.

| Well, you people have corrupted me already, and I opened the Barolo tonight. I tried to let it breathe for a few hours, and also chilled a bit so it was at about 65 degrees. I though it was ok, but not thrilling. Lots of tannin, but I mean that in a nice way , and not fruity at all. I found a page online today of some tasting group that described it as "thin" and I'd have to agree. Don't know if this is because I'm a fruit bomb lover, or because it was too young.
BTW i live near Frederick - any outsde the Beltway Marylanders here? | | | |

| | I hate to say it but Piemonte(barolo & barberesco only) is a region where you get what you pay for. The cheapest decent barolo I have ever tasted was around $40. I have never tried this particular wine but I was hoping to hear of a cheap, good barolo. | | | |
