the following is my email to jusin vineyards. i simply CANNOT tolerate their incompetence any further. ratings? go to hell...

i really cannot believe that EVERY shipment from the wine society has such a problem. you have my delivery address. a BUSINESS address that i recieved a shipment to just this week. yet i arrive home this evening to a ups notice of a missed delivery. a delivery that will not even be attempted again until MONDAY. the whole 4 day weekend, my wine, a living, breathing FOOD, will SIT on a ups truck. every single delivery you guys seem to [censored] UP. i am so over this. please credit my cc account, and cancel any further deliveries/shipments from justin. and GO TO HELL.

TBird...
IIRC, you're not the only forumite who has been in this position.
Sorry you had to be the one to take a stand on this.

i had similar problems with the ups delivery of my jones & loring wines. i blame ups & their employees completely. i actually had a supervisor argue with me fo 30 minutes rather than try to resolve the situation. these people even had my cell phone number & just left messages on my home phone answering machine. i considered starting a complaint thread about ups.

TBird,

What is it that Justin did to screw this up? Unless it was a complete act of incompetence, I'd think you still owe them some loyalty. You know, after buring their visitor center down and all ...

Cheers, y'all

first they left me messages saying my credit card wasn't going thru and they were holding my shipment. after exchanging 3 days worth of phone calls, it mysteriously goes thru. i just received my isoceles reserve last week. to the same business address they've been using since they have known me. why are they attempting this one to my home? they have no consistency except for their incompetence. next time it burns to the ground.

Tbird,

For goodness sake don't say that. I would edit the post now.

But thinking about it... you do owe them (hehe). I think you should just send them a bottle of Shafer Firebreak, ask to be deleted from the list and call it all square

Seriousley, I would have a nice chat with your UPS and FedEx drivers. With a little coaxing they will risk a life in prison and sign for your boxes themselves.

Damn Tbird, are you sure you don't want the 01 Reserve Isosceles?

UPS sucks. I prefer FedEx. They can still suck, just not as badly most of the time.

Actually up here in Northern CA UPS is much better. They will get things delivered in one day whereas if you use FedEx 2nd day they will make sure it will arrive on the second day (i.e. the package will sit in a warehouse in the central valley for at least a day).

Blame Brown.

I really depends on the delivery person. It seemed like we used to have a good one before, but something has changed recently and wine is not being delivered as well as before.

this just keeps getting better. ok, so they tried to ship to my home last wednesday, not that they have EVER shipped there before, always to my office. i'm obviously not home. the next ground delivery date is today, monday. ups was closed on thursday, being turkey day and all, but i got in touch with a person friday morning, to have the package re-directed to my work, where it should have gone in the first place. no problem, says ups. but the redirect would make the package not deliverable until tuesday, tomorrow. i have no choice, as i will not be home today, so i accept. still no reply from justin from my initial complaint at this point. i get home this evening to my justin box sitting on my front porch. what what what? why?? it was redirected for tomorrow delivery at my office. it needed a stinking signiture. otherwise they could have left it on wednesday, no? i also have a response from justin. they do not know who i am...i am baffled. whatever. i responded to them with a "please don't worry about it", sighed and walked away.

anthony, if this would have been sent to the correct address in the first place, it would have had nothing to do with the deliverman. the phone call regarding the re-direct had nothing to do with the delivery man. this whole thing has nothing to do with any delivery man.

Hmmm, Justin says they don't know who you are? Then you shouldn't expect to see a charge on your card either!
