| | Choice of a port or chardonnay Riedel stem for a Quarts de Charme? Same with a sauternes? | | | |

| | If you are talking about the taller narrower chardonnay galsses and not the bulbous montrachet style ones than definitely the chardonnay glass. A port glass is too small to be able to enjoy the aromatics of a sauternes or QdC. | | | |

| | Agree with Jason on this. Btw, go get yourself the Riedel Somm. Sauterne glass. It is my second favorite glass (after the Somm Champagne) and really does a great job with Sauterne and higher pradikat German Rieslings. | | | |

| I think I would choose the Port glass.
The glass wants to be small because one should pourdrink Sauternes a small amount at a time. A 2 ounce pour is what I like. That would get lost in the bottom of a Chardonnay stem.

| | I have glasses expressly for ice wines. They're miniatures of the Grand Burgundy Somms. | | | |

| Riedel does make an "ice wine" glass.
But if I had to choose between a port or chard glass again I would take the port because of the smaller size.

| I've been using a port type glass for my dessert wines - the ice wine, late harvest riesling and the Mistelle de Viognier. Closest choice from my current stemware collection. | | The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has it's limits... ps - friends don't let friends eat farmed salmon. | |

| | I would select the Riedel Port glass for those. | | "Why Keep Score if you are not going to play by the rules?" | |
