| Tasting both a Nero d'Avola from Sicily and a Old Vine Zin from Sonoma tonight. Which one first? TIA

| | Obviously it depends on the actual wines but given the limited information proferred I would open the Nero first. | | | |

| Thanks JW1....
the Zin is your basic Ravenswood Sonoma County Old Vines '01 and the Nero is the Duca di Castelmonte Cent'Are '01.
Change anything for you? | | | |

| | Nope I'd still open the Nero first. | | | |

| Concur.
Nero may have a sharpness or tartness that is nice with food or appetizers, but after a Zin it may taste "off". I like Nero.....
Enjoy.

| | The Nero likely has lighter extract than the Zin, which is one good reason for serving the Nero first. | | | |
