| | You've given a list of a lot of very good wines. If you need an order in which to open them, it would appear you have enough bottles of each for everybody to have at least a taste. The logistics indicate otherwise. Sorry if I offended you. It wasn't my intent. If you have one bottle of each, only a small number of people will get to taste each one. | | | |

Board_O - I have more than enough of each of these wines (12+ of each) for everyone to have more then a taste.
My question still is in what order do I serve these wines???

The head count will only require three bottle of each wine.

| Grapefulldead: Are you having over a group of winos & wine knowledgeable folks? If not, I would not server most of those wines (they will go to waste & unappreciated).
Otherwise (something like this):
750 1998 Oakford Vineyards Estate Grown Napa Valley Cab 750 1997 Paradigm Estate Cab 750 1996 Arrowood Reserve Speciale cab 750 1996 Chateau St Jean Cinq Cepages Cab 750 1997 Caymus Special Selection Cab 750 1997 Karl Lawrence Napa Cab 750 1997 Grace Family Vineyard 29 Cab 750 1998 Harlan The Maiden cab 750 1998 Jones Family Vineyard Estate Napa Valley Cab 750 1997 Lokoya Diamond Mountain Cab 750 1997 Lokoya Mt. Al - Some of the people are grape growers and are in the business, some are long time collectors and drinkers, some are newbies, and some do not even drink.
Most of these will be drank by the winos.

| | You have far too many wines there to serve. You'll never get through them all. | | | |

| Well, I'd do it very differently. Assuming you have enough bottles of each wine, this is what I'd do. I'd plan a sufficient number of bottles each wine and serve two different wines with each course. If you're having an appetizer, a main course, and dessert, that means 6 different wines. If there are two appetizer courses or if there is an hors d'ouevres hour, that's 8 different wines.
You list only red wines. A progression of wines is nice at a dinner. If there are hors d'ouevres, start with Champagne. If not match wines with the courses, preferably at least one white wine course to start the dinner, then red with the main course, and some dessert wines. The number of wines you mention will preclude people tasting many of them. After 15 wines, most people's palates become fatigued.

Sorry I did not list everything - here goes:
First Flight 1996 Pierre Morlet 1st Cru Champagne France
Scond Flight 1997 Kistler Vineyard Sonoma Valley Chardonnay 1997 Kistler Vine Hill Vineyard Chardonnay
Some people only drink whites - so They would not be interested in any of the reds
Third Flight two wines which do you think would work here????
Fourth Flight two more red wines which do you think would work here???
Any feelback would be great.

| I'd do three wines per course
First flight of '98s: Maiden, Jones and Oakford.
Second flight of '97s: KL, V29 and Lokoya Diamond Mtn.
