I see the name "Fils" on lots of different Burgundy's. Who is this guy "Fils"?

Usually it is "Blah & fils". I believe it is "& family". I think it is a Frenchy thing.

It means son.

In french, the word for "son" is Fils.
The word "daughter" is "fille".

Jones & son. I guess it can be used as Jones & sons as well, and as such be understood as family.
But the above is the literal translation.

Sorry but this is first year French to us Europeans:

Mon Pere, Ma Mere
Mon Frere, Ma Souer
Son Fils, Sa Fille

Even nearly thirty years later I can remember that stuff.

Oh God, memories of the exceedingly camp Mr Philbrick and learning the numbers by rote. Hell, nightmares tonight, thanks.

Then it would beJones & Fille. What is the plural of Fille. That's what it would be.
