| Barbara and I met a couple from Arlington at one of our alumni gatherings. They would really like to find a wine shop in the Dallas metroplex that will help them find some wine they can enjoy. They are really novices so any help would be appreciated.

| For selection near Arlington, I would try Farpointe Cellars in Southlake off SH1709 (Southlake Blvd.) and Byron Nelson Parkway. They have a great selection of both high end and "starter wines" and give good service. Hope this helps. | | | |

| HI BUBBA!
BIG DADDY'S AT EASTCHASE & I-30 in Ft Worth is the first decent wine store to those that live in Arlington. By the way, you can't buy wine in Arlington,Tx only beer so you have to leave Arlington to purchase wine. Central Market in Ft Worth usually has helpful people who will assist you in a purchase.
Farpointe is a really neat wine store in Southlake, classes inventory by varietal not country. Their wine bar is suppose to be open now so you can sip then purchase. | | | |

| | In Texas we go by "Wet/Dry" precincts. A precinct is basically a voting area. Each precinct votes whether to allow alcohol sales and in what forms (beer only retail, beer and wine, beer wine and hard liquor, drink by the glass in restaurants, etc...). In Arlington you can only purchase beer retail and anything by the glass in a restaurant. In Fort Worth right next door you and purchase anything retail or in a restaurant. | | Joe ----- Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |
