| I was told by a winen store owner for temporary storage to,
"get rid of my rubber cork & manual air remover pump and buy 'gas.'"
When my wife and I open a bottle of wine and we don't finish it,
I use the rubber cork and air pump and put the bottle back in the cellar.
The next day we pull the cork and finish the wine.
Does anybody recommend the 'gas' method?

| Gas systems work by pumping inert (i.e. won't interact chemically) gas into a bottle and sealing it. The gas has to be heavier than air so that it settles next to the surface of the wine. This also works for EVOO or anything else you'd like to extend the shelf-life of.
