This producer is very small, only having 12 acres of vineyard. Pian dell'Orino is located right next door to Biondi-Santi.
Parker's notes were as follows:

Excellent, dense …. offers up sweet scents of damp earth, cedar, tobacco and spice box. In the mouth, plums and cherries also make an appearance … Ripe, lush, medium to full-bodied, textured (and) concentrated..." 89 RP
It also received due biccheri from Gambero Rosso in 2003.
