Has parker rated the 2000 Vintage ports? If so, are they barrel ratings like spectator or bottle ratings? I know that spectator rated all of the following 95-100 pts but how did parker rate them?

Churchills
Grahams
Quinta do Noval
Quinta do Noval Presidential
Qunita do Vesuvio
Smith Woodhouse
Taylor Fladgate

Also how did parker rate the Fonseca, Dow, Warres etc

Thanks

He has rated them from the bottle. He did it a few issues ago.

I guess he hasn't rated all the port producers because ports require two to three years in oak before release, hence some producers haven't released yet.

The big name ports are already sitting on the shelf in California. I have already posted TNs on a few as have others. Which producers give more oak than the usual suspects of Taylors, Grahams, Warres et al? Personally, giving them a little more oak makes sense to me.

Looking at the info I've recieved it is often Vintage dependant but these producers give at least 30 months oak according to their marketing material (don't know if its true or not but will take it at face value.) up to a maximum of thirty six monthes.

Quinta Do Cotto
Quinta Do Noval
Ferreira
Quinta Da Gaivosa

Of the ones you mentioned above these are the ones Parker has tasted and rated. I have only had the Taylor Fladgate and truly felt it is/will be astounding. See my TN's hereTaylor Fladgate 2000 Vintage Port
