I got this wine as a present, so don't know what it costs. Probably no more than $14.

Opened it two days ago. Very plummy, with syrupy cherry notes, medium-full body and a tannic framework that didn't seem to hold the fruit properly. Not for me, I thought. I tried it again yesterday...tannins had softened but still didn't care for it all that much. HOWEVER, today it has come together. The syrupiness has dissolved and the tannins have merged with the fruit. I guess this means it could still have used a couple years in the cellar. I'd give it an 85. Reminds me at this stage of a fruity St-Emilion grand cru 1998.
