Popped and poured. Dark cherry hue. Nose was initially offering fairly typical but very nice Chilean Cabernet aromas of cherry, currant, earth, tar, and tobacco. Medium body, this wine was initially very tight on the palate with chewy tannins overwhelming the fruit. Flash forward 90 minutes later and paired with steak shish kebab, this Cabernet was much more accessible with tasty flavors of black fruits, spices, herbs, and a hint of black licorice. Slightly short on the finish. WS gave this a 92..........a little bit high in my book.......but I would purchase this again, it's a great QPR selection (especially for a Cab) and will most likely improve with short to mid-term cellaring. Popped and poured. Again, this took about 90 minutes to open up. Consistent with last TN. Really great QPR! (88 pts.)

Hard to find a better deal for a Cab than this one.
