2002 Achaval-Ferrer Quimera - Argentina, Mendoza, Valle de Uco (5/30/2007)
WIML89,PURPLE87,NOWA,WS91

Tasted May 30, 2007 at home. Opened and splash decanted right before serving in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Started off tight on the nose giving way to some aromas of dark fruits at first then some black currants, black berries, plums, cocoa and sandalwood. Flavors of Bing cherries, black berries and plums. Light to medium acidity, firm tannins and medium body. Drink with at least an hour in the decanter or hold. (89 pts.)
