This wine from Argentina was nice...   Good QPR to give to the gf... Â

Made from the grape Torrontes, the color is golden but fairly clear and bright.  The nose reminded me of a chardonnay and had some light pear and floral notes.  The smooth palate entry started out very light, but thankfully evolved into those same pear, floral and apricot flavors with some spice but roughened up a little and had a touch of nail polish on the mid-palate, ending with a light mineral aftertaste with no oak to speak of.  I wouldn't call it a finish.....   as it was quickly gone.  Overall nothing to complain about, and for $11 not a bad QPR.   84 pts.

If you drink wine, you get smarter....
