Interesting that our wine selections for Memorial Day weekend should include two Chilean wines, since I have so few in the cellar. I must say, both left me wondering if Chilean Cabs are just not my thing. Fiercely tannic, this wine shows little charm. It does display some plum and spice notes, but there is also an unpleasant herbacious and green/vegetal aspect to it, and the tannins scour and pucker the mouth, overwhelming any potential enjoyment of the wine. 24 hours in an open decanter had no noticeable impact on the wine. Not recommended.
