Tasted April 22, 2006 at LilacWine’s house in Fredericksburg, TX. Opened and served hours later in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Dark purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of asphalt, anise and sandlewood. Flavors of black cherries, red berries and coffee. Drink now with about an hour in the decanter. Based on a price of $30.00 a bottle the value is recommended. (90 pts.)
