2003 Casa Lapostolle Clos Apalta - Colchagua Valley, Chile
Decanted 3 hr’s. Rich nose of currants. Well integrated flavors of ripe, dark currants with plum, some spicy oak and vanilla with a nice touch of minerality. Prominent, yet very soft, plush, and slightly velveteen tannins. Has a light entry, but expands fully on the mid-palate with mocha increasing on the back of the tongue and continues to delight on the lengthy finish. S93 3/31/2006
