| | From Limari, Chile. Dark, deep color. Very pleasant aromas of dark fruit, earth and spices. It had a good balance too, but the finish just had this pronounced green/bitter taste that spoiled the wine. I had a 2002 Carmenere from this producer with the same problem, but I thought it could be a not fully ripe vintage (2002 was only ok), but it could not be so from a 2003 (a very hot and ripe vintage), so the problem must be in the winemaking, I guess. I'll avoid future releases of this unless I hear some very good comments. | | | |
